Kappa Mu Epsilon

Kappa Mu Epsilon (KME) is an honor society in Mathematics with the goal of promoting the interest of mathematics among students.

KME has chapters that are located in universities of recognized standing which offer a strong mathematics major. The chapters' members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have maintained standards of scholarship, have professional merit, and have attained high academic distinction.

Requirements

The requirements for a student to become a KME member are:

  • Three semesters of college completed
  • A cumulative G.P.A. of 3.4
  • Having completed at least three college mathematics courses, including MTH 280
  • At least a 3.00 G.P.A. in mathematics courses
  • Transfer students must have completed one semester at MSU

Download and fill out the KME Application Form.  Email completed form to the faculty advisor. Even if you do not currently satisfy the membership requirements, you can become a guest member.
