Tips for success

  • This degree plan does not include transfer credit you may have. Missouri State has many resources for transfer students.
  • A minor or second major is also required.
  • Review the admission and program requirements for full details on completing your degree.
    • Take CSC 130, 131, 232 and 325 in consecutive semesters.
    • Take MTH 261 and 280 in consecutive semesters.
    • Applicable science courses are shown on the flowchart (.pdf).
  • All students must complete a total of at least 120 credit hours.
    • GPA requirements: 2.0 in major and minor fields (computer science and mathematics).
    • Other requirements: 40 hours must be in upper-level courses (300 level or above).
    • Students must complete the general education requirements.
      • Do not "get all of your general education requirements out of the way" before taking courses in the major; you will not finish in four years.
