Accelerated Master's

The Quiet Library Corridor

Why choose an accelerated option?

If you know, as an undergraduate, that you want to pursue a graduate degree, you can begin your graduate studies in math your senior year.

To be eligible to apply for admission to this program, you must have completed these three courses: MTH 503, MTH 532, and MTH 540. You must have also maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in all mathematics courses numbered MTH 261 or higher. You can apply for admission during the second semester of your junior year.

If accepted into the accelerated program, you can count a maximum of six hours of 600/700 level mathematics courses toward both your undergraduate and graduate programs.
