MS Two-Year Degree Plan: Mathematics

Tips for success

  • To fulfill the requirements for your master's degree, you must complete a minimum of 18 hours of 700-level courses. At least one of the following four courses must be completed:
    • MTH 702 Real and Abstract Analysis
    • MTH 722 Theory of Ordinary Differential Equations II
    • MTH 732 Abstract Algebra II
    • MTH 742 Statistical Inference II
  • You may count up to six (6) hours of research toward your degree.
    • With advisor approval, you can also take a maximum of six (6) hours of elective courses in fields related to mathematics.
