Become a math major

Want to major in math at Missouri State? Here are the steps and requirements you need to complete.

Your first steps: Declare your major

There are no formal admission requirements for the math major. Just be admitted to Missouri State and declare your major.
  1. Become a Bear: Apply to Missouri State. (If you’re not already a current student.)
  2. Before completing 60 credit hours, contact the Academic Advising and Transfer Center to declare or change your major to math.

After you declare: Complete the program requirements

Choose the degree type you want and complete the requirements to earn a bachelor’s degree in math.

The non-comprehensive degrees require a minor or second major.
